THE TOWER OF VICTORY 'QUTUB MINAR'
During my Delhi visit in 2018. I visited Qutub Minar with my parents and some relatives. I was surprised to see the Architectural beauty of Qutub Minar. At that day I also visited Red Fort, Lotus Temple and India Gate . But I liked Qutub Minar . It is one of the tallest and the most popular building of Delhi . The ticket charge for Indians in Qutub Minar is ₹30 but ticket charge of foreign tourist is ₹500.
My first stop was really the trail that led to the minar. A Sarai was located immediately to the left of the entrance, behind the greens. Sarai serves as a rest stop for travellers. It may have been constructed by the Mughals in the 1700s, according to my guide , and it had accommodations for travellers.
Qutub Minar is 73 meter high , built in 1193 by Qutb uddin Aibak . It has 5 floors . The diameter at base is 15 metre and at the diameter is 2.5 meter . It was built to mark the end the rule of Hindu Kingdom. There are more than 6 mosques and tombs at Qutub Minar...
Beside the Qutub Minar there is a 1600 years old Iron Pillar . It was constructed by Chandra gupta II . It is famous for its no-rusted state . There are some sentences written on iron pillar .
In the 14th century , Alauddin Khalji tried to construct another Qutub Minar which was taller and more beautiful than first Qutub Minar . But after the death of Alauddin Khalji , The construction of second Qutub Minar was stopped .
I want to tell you that you should visit
Qutub Minar . It's architectural beauty will definitely fascinate you .
If you want to visit Qutub Minar you need at least 3 hours . Beside the Minar there are some restuarant , which provides delicious food . You should go there and have a tasty meal. I would like to suggest you that please don't go in the after noon in summer. It may cause headache or dehydration.
This trip was one of my most memorable trips ....
